Nature Communications journal published a study conducted by a team of scientists from the University of Wisconsin and the US National Institute on Aging. Clinicians have concluded that the impact of food on the body everyday people after the age of 30 years is changing - the usual food can be a factor in the development of disease and early death.
After a series of experiments on rhesus monkeys, whose genome is 93% identical with the human, the researchers found a link between aging and diet in middle age.
Summing up his observations, they said, after 30 years it is necessary to restrict caloric intake, and, furthermore, should be discarded from the food in the evenings.
"This will help to slow the aging process, reduce risk of cancer, diabetes and cardiovascular disease," - experts are convinced.
Experiments with monkeys, which at the time of the experiments restricted diet, the scientists carried out repeatedly. The first projects of this kind were held in 2009. Then primates have reduced their daily calorie ration by 20%. The results of this experiment were impressive: the monkeys, planted on a new diet, showed a tendency to longevity - on average, their life increased by 9 years.
This time, the researchers took into account not only the indicators but also to analyze the results obtained in the course of many other scientific investigations on the subject. Summarize them, they confirmed that the decrease in caloric intake and refusal to eat later in the day and night really prolongs life, protects against disease and slows down aging.
Moreover, the scientists emphasize that to start such practice should be limited is not a young man, but only in middle age, that is, after 30 years.
